I call it the purity of spirit. There is a purity about the faces and people in memory care; they have left guile and regret behind. Bev came in to paint with Maria, sat down, chatted with us, thanked us, and finished her painting.
And when she was done, she got up and went back to her room to rest by herself. It seemed like she was so at ease with just doing what she wanted to do. More photos later.
I have never read words that describe an elder in memory care so beautifully. It brought tears to my eyes. That you can see so clearly right into a person and show us that purity. Grateful for your poetic vision, teaching us to see in new ways.
