I want to thank the anonymous blog reader who purchased a $100 Gift Certificate at Carroll’s Trading Post for me to use in support of the Mansion. The donor sent the certificate in September, but I just caught up on the rest of it this week because of the pandemic. She did not want me to know who she was.
This happens more often than you might think, the Army Of Good people are…well, good.
Beverly and Kayla helped me pick out the clothes, a surprise for the aides.
I’m bringing two large shopping bags of beautiful and colorful scrubs and pants and some blouses for the Mansion aides, who have been heroic for so long it’s almost become routine.
Once again, the Mansion residents have been protected from another round of the pandemic. All are healthy and well. The aides deserve a lot more than these clothes; perhaps America has learned something from the pandemic and will pay health care workers what they deserve.
Bev, Kayla, and I picked out some colorful scrubs, pants, and short blouses.
I’m bringing the clothes over to the Mansion Thursday morning when I show up for my meditation class. There should be enough for all of them. I wish I could give them what they deserve.
