Zinnia and Bud know how to have fun. But they love to have fun together. These two are bonded at the hip. Bud won’t go outside in the cold unless Zinnia is with him. and Zinnia won’t come into the house unless Bud comes in first. In the mornings, when it’s too cold to leave them out, they find ways to play.
Zinnia loves to chew on Bud’s head, and Bud loves to get underneath Zinnia and somehow flip her over. A short photo journal of Bud and Zinnia at play:
It’s impossible to watch these two play without smiling. Zinnia is a gentle giant, Bud thinks he’s Godzilla. But the two never harm one another or push too hard. From the first, they bonded together and are hardly ever apart.
I would imagine one paw from Bud would not stop Zinnia unless she is willing to be stopped. This friendship has been so good for both of them, but especially Bud, who was traumatized when he came here and wary of everyone and everything. Zinnia is an ice breaker.
Funny! Dogs know just how far to take it without hurting each other… two wrestlers on the mat.
I guess Zinnia likes her rawhide really raw, and preferably Boston Terrier flavored! and from experience, I can just imagine the vicious sounding growly grumblings that are going on, muffled as they might be. Hysterical!
I love the pictures, Jon. Nothing warms my heart like watching dogs play. Heidi and Bella are owned by myself and my best friend. They’re littermates and their favourite pastime is playing bitey face. When they’re done, their Airedale beards are wet with slobber which is wiped off on the pants of the nearest human. Did I mention that I don’t wear “good clothes” too often? ?
