I’m happy to report that Bud is very happy with Zinnia’s new dog bed.
This morning, a happy task I’m returning to work again at Bishop Maginn High School in Albany, this remarkable, diverse, and loving school. I plan on interviewing another of the refugee and/or inner-city students there and will be thrilled to see my pal Sue Silverstein, our own Blessed Mother.
Zinnia is coming along to do her therapy work – the kids really need it after this grueling year – and Maria will work with her sewing students. She’s coming for one or two more classes.
I’ll be resuming my once or twice weekly visits to see if we can help the refugees, those that are there, and those that are coming. Thursday, I plan to resume my meditation classes at the Mansion.
I am very happy to be returning to this work, there is a list of things the Mansion residents need that is waiting for me.
It’s time to ask for support for the Mansion/Refugee fund, which is sorely depleted. You can contribute via Paypal, [email protected] or by Venmo, Jon-Katz@Jon-Katz-13, or by mail, Jon Katz, Mansion/Refugee Fund, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816.
We’re back in business. There’s also more work to be done with the Afghan refugees, who sound especially disoriented and needy. There are several hundred in or coming to Albany.
Tried to send a donation via Venmo, but when I put in your Venmo name, nothing came up Any solutions?
