We could let Fate out the back door 100 times a day, and every single time, she would do the same thing – run to the gate and turn and wait for as long as it takes for Maria or me to come out and let her go out to the sheep.
This is what she lives for; this is what she always wants to do. I call her Forever fate. I love the sight of her sitting patiently – all day if we’d let her – waiting to work. At such times, nothing else exists for her.
