My Study, My Place Of Peace. Help With My Leica

by Jon Katz

Today was cloudy for most of the day, and I was away from the farm, seeing a chiropractor about my sore back and then watching while Mike and Jerry wired up the house for our new generator, which is now operational.

There was no time to use my Leica until after dinner when I walked past my office and saw how dark and peaceful a place it is for me.

I couldn’t resist this photo. I’m happy to report that I’ve found a small network of Leica Q2 Monochrome lovers who help one another. Emily in Washington helped me get my viewfinder focus set up, and we all agreed to trade e-mails and phone numbers if we needed help.

This is very important to me, as I want to fully understand my new camera so I can take better photos.

At least once a week, I freak out over something I don’t understand. I have people to call now, and we help one another.

I’m working hard on this camera and loving it more every day..

I was happy with this photo. The Leica loves contrasts and darkness with light images. I think of my study as a place of peace and warmth.
