Last night, it was dark and cold. There was a visible moon, but it was shrouded by clouds. I was testing the camera on my new Iphone Pro Max 13, the camera’s night capability was getting raves from photographers all over the place, including my teacher.
I turned off the outside lights to the farmhouse and walked out into the driveway about 15 feet from the window. At that moment, Maria stood up to check on one of her plants, and I took the shot. I was really shocked at the clarity and quality of that photo. The hype is real.
The camera was on autofocus. The night feature is extraordinary. There was a nearly full moon up through the clouds, but there was no light where I was standing outside.
The camera seemed to reach inside of the living room to focus on Maria.
Purists tell me that my Canon could have taken a shot, but I never could using it. This opens a whole new frontier for me. I couldn’t do it with the Leica monochrome either. So the Iphone and the Leica make a good pair for me.
When I got this shot, I looked upwards and decided to take a shot of the moon over the tree line across the road. It was also impressive, and surprising.
I’m excited about this new option, as well as the Leica. I’m taking another course at the Leica online school next Saturday. I think I need to experiment more with the Iphone as well.
Lovely photos, both of them. The image of Maria reminds me of a Wyeth painting, gorgeous and arresting.
Beautiful picture
Great camera work.
