Donkeys are as curious as border collies. When someone or something approaches, they have to check it out. This makes life easy for the photographer. All I have to do is walk into the pasture and they will turn their heads to see what I am doing and if there is anything in it for them. They know my cameras well and are mostly bored with them.

But I knew I had about 30 seconds to get a photo, as they both turned their heads when I showed up. They want to know everything. But they won’t stop eating for too long.
