When I came downstairs this morning, I was surprised and delighted to see a new succulent nesting comfortably in the owl planter somebody gave us some years ago.
It’s a Baby Rubber Plant (also known as Pepper Face); Maria put the two of them together this morning and placed them in the WIndowsill Gallery she curates. I never know what I will see on that windowsill from one day to the next.
The plan and the owl will spend the winter there; they love the intense sun on one side, a heated room on the other. I’ll take a photo from time to time. It’s a hoot being married to an artist.
I like those glowing yellow eyes. I’ll bet this would be a cool shot in black and white too.
