Around 3 p.m., the sun is sinking in the North and shines right through our living room. I was walking into the kitchen when I saw this beam of light shooting across the floor and grabbed the Leica, which was sitting on the table. I am a sucker for light and color.

Still Life: Afternoon Light
by Jon Katz
Love it! When I opened the blog to read, this shot hit me first..wow. Indeed you captured a terrific scene !
I think you, the sun and your Leica have become great partners. From the burst of sunlight through the window unto the carpet and chairs and then the reflection in the aquarium and on the ceiling… you’ve captured it all beautifully. It’s quite a light show and one of my favorites so far.
Are you testing us to see if we really read your posts? Are we paying attention? The sun sets in the west and in the winter, the southwest.
Heehee…..I’m paying attention! LOL
Harry, thanks the sad part is that I AM paying attention..I could never get East and West straight..Glad someone is paying attention…:)
That is an extraordinary photo. I see why this you are so happy with this new tool .
Your new photography is truly growing on me. I look forward to much more!
Thank you, it’s growing on me too..
