This sheep lawn figure is perhaps the oldest thing on our farm. It was buried in the garden of the first Bedlam Farm in Hebron, N.Y., and we brought it to the new farm. Nobody knows how old it is or where it came from, only that it was there in the memory of neighbors and the older people who lived on the road.
It has made it through a lot of winters, it is missing one leg. The snow buried it yesterday, it was peeking out today.
My goodness! How have I missed that little sheep? It’s so sweet. Did little Bo Peep lose her sheep?
