November Sky, Early Afternoon

by Jon Katz

November took its time getting here, but it has arrived with vengeance. One thing I must say about climate change, it produces some beautiful skies.

I see this as a message to us to take care of our home or pay the price. These skies are the dances of the angels, they are trying to get our attention. It is an angry sky in many ways, a warning sky. It is also a thing of beauty.

Zinnia and I were out walking around the farm, I was throwing the ball for her and thinking, and I looked up and saw this beautiful sky.  It had been raining for a couple of days, and suddenly, the sky came out.

This is a photo I need in color with a good camera that has some depth of field.

I don’t think the Leica would have caught the feel of this one, at least not until I learn more about how to use it.

I think portraits and landscapes are my things. One camera for one, a different camera for the other.

  1. Love how you included Zinnia in this beautiful colorful photo – and happy for all that Bedlam Farm is still in your lives! 🙂
