Everyone needs a place to go; I’ve always been drawn to the British idea of the pub. In a sense, places to go build community and keep it alive in the Facebook Age, where most people sit at home behind their computers at night.
We have the Bog, a deep tradition in our town as a place to go to get out of the house, be around people on a cold November night, get a good burger with mashed potatoes and watch the people at the bar talk so eagerly and intimately with one another and have a drink or two.
We needed to go out tonight, we both have been working hard, and a lot is going on in our lives. The Bog, saved recently from collapse, was just right. It is thriving again. I love taking pictures there.
