I was experimenting with Affinity, a photo editing program designed for Apple computer users. It’s pretty wild. I brought this bouquet for Barbara Miller, my Amish neighbor. The Amish love flowers but don’t seem to grow them. Perhaps frivolous or a waste of work time. I bring her some from our garden once every few weeks, and as the time of flowers is fading, I want to get a last bouquet or two in.
I was startled by the experiment in Affinity, but I also liked it. I love impact color; the brighter, the better, and this one knocked my socks off. Today, I started my photo editing lessons with Andrew, who works for Mac Nurse in Stowe, Vt. He is a fantastic teacher, and if I don’t drive him mad, we’ll have great fun. He has agreed to learn photo editing with me and figure out the best program to use.
I wish I’d had a teacher like him years ago; I might have a mansion and a yacht, like Elmer Fudd. I look forward to our lessons. I think he gets me and grasps my strengths and weaknesses. We’re off to a great start.
P.S. Facebook suffered a massive outage today for those trying to see the blog or comment there. They are working on it.
