I saw myself in a mirror behind  Maria, aiming my camera at her. She was laughing and smiling with Leslie, who runs Shining Sisters in Cambridge. She just had a bunch of baby goats, a dangerous situation with Maria.

Leslie finds and restores beautiful old things, including our new candle holder. She is also hoping to persuade us to buy some of the goats she is raising. We are not looking to expand our animal life here, but Leslie is tremendous fun and persuasive.

I had goats once; they are much smarter than me. I love Maria’s smile. I hope she was laughing at the idea.
