Maria and I waited until dark and then moved the bread and baked goods display stand I put together. I did manage to put a good size hole in my thumb, thank God it’s not a toe. It looks good in that shed (or out front).
I love the idea of the girls discovering it in the morning first thing. Of course, they will know who put it there, and I will stay away for a day or so and then go in bartering for the necklaces I want to get for the Amish residents and the Bishop Maginn refugee students.
Because of my surgery and the huge list of places I have to go for tests, exams, and clearance, I’m not sure I’ll see the Millers before the surgery next week. Tomorrow I have to be at Saratoga Hospital by 9:10 a.m. for the Covid-19 test required for all surgeries.
Maria wants to get up early, drive me to a diner we love, and then take me into Saratoga Springs. That is an offer I happily accept. Then we’ll get home and get to work.
Perhaps the Amish won’t want this stand and will put it outside, perhaps they will ask me to take it away, or maybe they will cram it full of the delicious bread they make and put it right out front in this strong display. I really don’t know.
We’ll have some fun either way.
No strings attached, they are free to say yes or no. I’m happy to know them and hope the bread stand works for them.
