The Mansion residents are getting excited about the Halloween Festival. This morning, Maria and I dropped off 20 plastic pumpkins and about a dozen real ones, along with some paint. They had a blast with the color.
I had to go to Albany this morning. Maria went over to the Mansion and helped the residents paint the pumpkins. This is getting more interesting by the day, and the residents are having a blast, just as we hoped they would—lots of scary spirits on the way.
Soon, we’ll have enough pumpkins painted to hang all around the arch in the great room. Thanks for hour support of the art supplies. The residents are looking forward to this festival and to the preparations they are making for it.
This keeps them engaged, creative, and excited. It’s like a tonic, something to look ahead to, something that will bring out the creative spark.
Painted pumpkins are showing up all over the Mansion. And wait until they see some of the ghosts, goblins, and ghouls heading this way. We are planning a fantastic festival for Halloween. These pumpkins are a great start. I’ve got some great stuff coming, I’ll share it, of course.
