For me, gardens are about reaching for the sky. My Zinnia garden is always reaching for the sky. I think that’s the idea for me; I love gardening because life struggles to find the sun and the light.

With my new Leica Monochrome, this photo captures that idea for me; the zinnias are reaching up all the time, racing for the sky while they can.
