My Zinnia garden has another use – it provides shelter from the rain for the chickens, who love to hang out beneath it and shields them from the sun.
I miss my Leica (it will be here this week), but I had a lot of fun checking on the chickens. They offered a compelling way to chronicle the impact of a big storm on four humble farm chickens.
I’m thinking Marigolds and big Zinnia’s for next year.
Later, the hens tried to wake Flo up. They wanted to talk. I never paid much attention to chickens before; I’m making up for lost time.
