Emma got Sandy from a rescue group when Robin was two. she was brought up from the South to grow up with Robin, and the two have bonded beautifully,
A dog’s life in Brooklyn can be narrow, but Emma takes great care of Sandy, as she did of Pearl. She gets long walks twice a day and hangs around with Robin every night. She sleeps on her bed.
I’ve much enjoyed seeing these two grow up together, mostly in pictures. I think this is so healthy for a child, as long as the child takes some responsibility for the dog’s care and doesn’t just leave it to parents.
The pandemic is once again blocking trips to New York or visits to the farm. Lots to accept, but this is a smile photo, for sure.
I absolutely LOVE this photo, I keep coming back to look at it again and again.
I am captivated by this photo. They look like siblings. Just so sweet; the eyes have it all and so much expression. It’s a winner.
Love this photo, too…I see a bit of you in her smile, cheeks and jawline.
We are also the happy parents of a dog brought up from the South. It’s a good thing.
What a great ‘best friends’ photo. I can see it printed and tucked in a place of honor of an older-Robin’s dorm-room or dresser mirror.
