When the pandemic broke out, the students had to go home for a while. Sue Silverstein gave all of her art supplies to them so that they would have something to do other than run around on the city’s dangerous streets.
Now, they are all getting ready to come back, and Sue’s art closet was bare. She asked for help and we put some items up on one of the Wish Lists. Her closet is full, when students come in to decide what classes to take, she shows them the art closet.
The art classes are all full up. Thank you.
Art is very important to these children, that is how they learn to express themselves and see that we are all artists in heart and soul. Sue is very skilled at using her art classes to build confidence and ease tension and sorrow.
