Kitty and Anne are both hens, but they are inseparable.
I never see one without the other, and they never separate. Several times a day, they hop up onto a branch or hanging limb and just sit and stare out at the world.
Some animals love to pair up. Lulu and Fanny are inseparable, so are Zinnia and Bud. Zinnia will not come into the house from outside unless Bud comes in first.
The sheep don’t really break into pairs unless they are mothers and children. Minnie and Flo are pairs now, they sleep curled up next to one another in a ball.
Susie and Liam are inseparable and Laurie and Robin are always together, and Merricat and Constance, both lambs, stay close as they get older.
As I write this, I think I’ll try a series of photographs called “pairs.” It is always uplifting to see this.
Don’t forget the Jon and Maria pair!
