There are too many images floating around that make people angry or that make me sad. I decided to use my photographic images to make people smile, to make them happy.
I took this photo this morning because it made me happy and made me smile. Maria is one of those people who spread love and empathy behind her and around her.
Every morning now, she calls a meeting of the chicken and gives them something nice to eat. They gather around her, a small peaceable kingdom of their own.
I wish there were more of this globally; perhaps people would find something nicer to do than posting nasty messages on Facebook and Twitter.

Oh, Jon, what a special picture! In addition to loving Maria and those chickens, I’m loving that garden! It is so lush–do you use donkey or sheep manure on it?
We do use donkey manure, Molly…it really works..
