This week, our Coneflowers (creators of Echinacea) blossomed, I want to dedicate them to the many readers of the blog who are suffering greatly now from drought and record-breaking heat.
We are thinking of you, and wishing you safety and comfort, and strength. I hope these flower pictures bring you some relief.
Your thoughts sure are appreciated! the drought has been both scary and devastating. I have taken this opportunity instead of suffering but to design and construct a rain collection and storage system. I feel less helpless when I’m taking pro-active steps to secure my home on the high prairies.
How neat, good for you Debora and good luck. The human spirit is strong..
My Coneflowers are blooming, too, and I just love them! I keep wondering why we can’t develop a pipeline that would transport rainwater from the soggy East coast out to those areas just wishing for a portion of what we’ve had over the past week or so. We’re drowning here in CT!
