I’m learning all sorts of new skills since I met Moise and his family.
I’m a whiz at online ordering, an expert on donut and pie packaging, a skilled driver, an authority on illumination strips, a death contact for emergencies, and on Friday, I deliver donuts in the morning.
I also am a groomer for Tina.
Today is Donut Friday at Moise’s farm, and the cars pull up to the shed promptly at 7 a.m. when the donuts go on sale. They are made fresh all morning and into the early afternoon.
Barbara’s strawberry donuts are lighting up the town.
Our friend Wendy, the much-loved postal clerk and one of Maria’s favorite animal-loving friends, is retiring amidst all of the post office chaos.
We will miss her a lot. She always told Maria when animal stamps came in.
Somebody brought her a strawberry donut from Moise’s farm, and she told us it was the best donut she had eaten in her life, and she is a passionate donut love.
Maria and I are bringing her three boxes of donuts (two strawberry, one mixed), and I am bringing six boxes of donuts to the Mansion; there is a great clamor for strawberry donuts there (I brought some last week)
We can pick up our donut order at 10 a.m., and I’ll deliver it (one housebound neighbor e-mailed me and asked if I could bring some to her, so I will.
I love the new things I’m learning.
I am going to need to up my game if I am to get some of those strawberry donuts. Got there at 9:30 Friday and I was out of luck. Maybe I need to get up earlier.
Thank you for your posts about the Amish. I am thoroughly enjoying them!
You can always stop by and place an order Rilla, or even leave one in writing in the shed..they’ll be happy to hold some for you j..they don’t mind people driving up to the house and asking for donuts or ordering them, they are quit friendly.
