Our friend Jack Metzger, an artist and antiquities dealer, stopped by to say hello and give me a present. He said he thought it was tacky, but he couldn’t sell it and I was the only person he knew with two donkeys.
So we happily accepted it. Maria loved and went off to find a succulent to place in it and put the donkey to work. She put it in the windowsill gallery and I went outside with the camera to get a picture of it.
It is tacky, but we do love it.
It’s awesome!
He’s adorable!
The eyes and ears of the donkey are incredible and the cart wheels are gorgeous! Enjoy
Not tacky…he’s adorable! Love it! 🙂
It is beautiful. Just fyi I have a collection of around 57 of these ceramic donkey planters. Love their facial expressions. Yeah, an obsessive “art” collector.
Those types of little, bright, tacky planters remind me of my grandparents farm. Gramma had herbs growing in them on the windowsill.
Definitely not tacky, but elegant,
thanks for photo/story.Peace
