Our Appreciation Day is off to a lovely start. We stayed in bed late, took some flowers and a book to Moise’s daughter Katie Ann, who recently arrived from the far North and is still organizing her new temporary home
Then Maria went to the post office to send one of her potholders to an autistic child who loves them.
So far we are very much appreciating one another, the day is quiet and restful. I watered my Zinnia garden and blueberry bushes and then sat down to give the new apple tree a proper soaking.
Maria came out and sat with me. We’re not really planning anything, we might run down the road to have lunch at Bob’s excellent hot dog cart. I love sitting in my watering chair, Zinnia always takes up position beneath it.
It’s a kind of sweet meditation, and the tree looks wonderful. Two soaking each day until September.
