I’m always amazed to see how quickly dogs pick up on rituals and eagerly awaiting them. Rushing up to get me out of bed is a new one, so is gathering in the living room every morning before breakfast.
This is now a daily ritual. The dogs gather in the living room and wait for me to sit down in the chair and Maria to show up with a bag of medical supplies.
Yesterday, I learned my wound had re-opened (too much walking) and I need to be in my surgical boot for at least two more weeks and try to rest my foot as much as possible. The wound is in a bad spot, keeping it off the ground is hard.
I had to cancel my Mansion readings for two weeks and avoid the gym or long walks.
I can still throw the ball for Zinnia in the morning, but that’s about it.
I’m glad the dogs are having so much fun, they could not be more interested if there was a pile of meat in front of them.
Jon I know you love to be quiet stubborn but now perhaps it is time to just listen to the doctor and do as you are told!!! Keep that foot up off the ground, keep on with nurse Maria and keep your squad with you at all times and plenty of books and things will get better. You worry about all the others so much now is the time to worry about Jon and take good care of him. Just a friendly little pep talk this morning (I am bossy).
It looks like Bud would like to have a word with you. He has such an expressive face.
