Over the next few days, I’m posing several photos a day of the very wonderful students graduating from Bishop Maginn this year; they are all going to college heading off to be the New Americans.
I’m not using their names mostly because I didn’t have time to write them all down, and although I asked for permission to take their photos, I didn’t get to ask them for permission to use their names.
I am scrupulous about that. Their wonderful faces speak for themselves.
They are precious to me, and I soon, I hope, to the rest of the country as well. Their faces speak volumes about this wonderful school and our wonderful country. They are wonderful people and I am proud to have meet them and worked with them.
I know them all; some took my writing class, some helped me train Zinnia, some needed a therapy dog for one reason or another. God bless them all; they deserve every happiness and success.
First five today: more tomorrow.
Thanks, C, for the wonderful dedication in your Yearbook
Thanks for your radiant smiles and kindness
Please come and meet the sheep we named after you. Love the hair.
Remarkable person, I admire you more than I can say. New York City will never be the same. Go with all the wind in the world at your back.
One Little Sister, Bishop Maginn’s Future. I hope to make it to her graduation too.
What a beautiful post, I have enjoyed your posts about these beautiful young people. Hope is the word that comes to mind when looking at these photos. Hope for their bright and beautiful ideas, hope for happiness for them and their families. Hope for a brighter tomorrow because these students and so many like them chose to see the good here. May they all shot for the stars. Thank you Jon for sharing their journey with us!
