The Wake-Up Squad turned cuddly this morning. Fate was out with Maria in the rain, and Bud and Zinnia nosed open the door downstairs and came thundering into the bedroom and onto the bed.
I decided not to run and stand my ground and suddenly we had a cuddle and a lovest going. Bud, just in from the cold rain, curled up right next to my pillow and Zinnia curled upright on him.
Okay, I thought, this is pretty sweet, they are just as happy to be in bed as I am, and all three of us went to sleep for 10 or 15 minutes.
Then we all got up. Maybe that’s the new plan. Instead of waking up Jon and driving him from the bed, perhaps a cuddle would be better.
We’ll see what Fate has to say about this. She is not known for her cuddling.
Your photos of Bud often bring Winston Churchill to mind!
Zinnia has such a sweet expression. Dark eyes which mirror her soul. When I was looking at all those dogs before finding Edgar, it was the eyes I looked into. It was Edgar’s eyes that captured me. He obviously did not have much else to win someone over. He can be a bit naughty now and again, then he looks at me–and I am once again “sold”.
