I’m taking photos of dogs I run into again, something I do two or three times a year. I ran into this pug in Hoosick Falls this morning in front of Hoosick Provisions, an anchor to the happy and successful renovation of the downtown of this old and proud town, about 10 miles south of us.
There’s a new bakery, a French bistro, a gourmet pizza place, antiques, and a coffee shop that serves great breakfasts.
Maria and I go Saturday mornings to the bakery in Hoosick Falls Provisions, our friend Ashley is the baker there and she makes the most beautiful croissants, pastries, buns, and cookies.
They also make fresh New York-style pretzels. This store is a new addition to our Saturday morning routines.
Tomorrow, we plan on returning to Jean’s Place, open and booming once again post-pandemic. I am eager to renew a Sunday tradition, halted by the pandemic: Jean’s egg cheese on a muffin with home fries.
