I suppose it was inevitable. Maddie, Moise’s sister, made me a straw hat and we went and got it today at their farm south of town.
Moise’s kids suggested I get one when they came over to visit us a week or so ago.
Maria insisted on buying it, it cost $20. It’s a very nice hat, perfect for summer and sunny days. The straw hats I’ve seen (I bought one a couple of years ago) cost six or seven times that.
Maria was happy to buy it and she thinks it looks great. I’m okay with it. It will keep the sun off and nobody will ever confuse me with Moise.
Looking good Jon!
Jon, Was just perusing George Catlin’s paintings and this portrait of you in the very fine or FINEST KIND as the BOnakers of Long Island would say – FINEST KIND – is just as arresting as those Caitlin Warriors of the Great Plains. The workmanship of the hat is superb. It will withstand rain, sun and wind.
Love it!
I think it’s very nice. I have a big head and I would love to have a custom fit Amish hat. You look Summer efficiently stylish.
Hat looks great!!
It’s brilliant, Jon!!!
Love this joyful picture of you Jon, the best I have seen! 🙂 I think it would be an honor to have a hat made for you by the Amish family . . .
Looks great on you, Jon.
Now that’s a fine hat!
The hat suits you … attractive yet practical. Except for the short hair, you’d blend right in at an Amish gathering. Are you becoming one of them in spirit?
I like it!!
You look ready for summer activities on the farm! ?
Looks great, Jon! I’m pretty sure the Amish wouldn’t allow your tattoos… ?
We’re loving the Amish writings. A blessed Memorial Day weekend to you and Maria.
I doubt the Amish would all me without them…:)
You look plain
Perfect!
