Monday and Thursday are laundry days on the Miller Farm.
There are a lot of clothes to wash and dry. Somehow, it’s always a beautiful sight. Monday, the regular clothes, Thursday, blankets and sheets.

So fascinating, i also love clotheslines with items blowing in the breeze…please describe their laundry process…hand agitation?
Jon, how do they wash clothes without electricity? Do they use a wash pot over an open fire in the yard like my Mom did 100 years ago (and I still have her black wash pot). Or do they have some kind of gasoline powered machines? I’ve been curious about this ever since you started posting pictures of their beautiful clothes lines – I sure envy that and miss those days!
Not sure Charlotte, there’s big tub in the barn, I think they use that..and they dry everything outside, I’m not sure about the winter..
I’ll find out more…
