I got this SOS from the Mansion in mid-afternoon, it was from Tia, an aide who alerts me when the residents need something urgently.

“Sorry to add to our long list of needs,” she texted, “but we are in desperate need of Jergens lotion, body wash, and conditioner.”

How much need, I ask. At least five bottles of each, if possible, she replied.

I asked Maria to come with me to Walgreens and we went roaring off. “Urgent” is an emergency to me.

We rushed to Walgreens and got seven bottles of Jergen’s lotion, body wash, and conditioner. I packed three bags full of lotions and potions and sent them off.

These are critical needs for people in the assisted care. I got $150 worth of lotions, more than was asked for. I had enough money on hand in the Mansion fund, thanks.

I got enough lotions and conditioner to last a while. We don’t need anymore, at least for now.

I can’t always track the donations that come electronically right away, they show up in various places at different times. I’ll do my best to send cards out to donors. Over time I hope everyone who wants one gets one.
