Good news. My next broadcast of “Katz And Dogs” will be next Wednesday, at 2.pm. EDT.
Anyone anywhere can access the broadcast live by going to WBTMAM.org and hitting the LIVE Button at the top of the station’s web page.
You can also access the broadcast by getting tunein.com, a radio app, and searching for WBTMAM.org.
This will be the permanent time slot for “Katz and Dogs,” and it will begin next Wednesday.
You can e-mail me your questions any time, and I’ll be happy to read them and talk about them on the air, or you can call me – please do – at 802 442 – 1010.
I very much want the show to be a haven for people who love dogs (and cats) and all animals and want to help them live safely and meaningfully in a complex world.
People need information they can trust and help in managing the often confusing world of pets and other animals.
My mission is to host a place where that can happen from grieving to deaf dogs to not-so-smart ones. Getting the right dog is hard work and takes thought.
That’s a big issue of mine because so few people do it.
I’ll talk about the best ways to get a dog, and the traps to be wary of. I’ll talk about just about anything relating to animals.
Sometimes, my wife, Maria will come on to talk about our lives with animals together and every week Tracy Snelling of Our Friends Rescue will come in and tell us about a special dog that needs a home.
If you prefer, you can e-mail me at any time, before, during, and after the broadcast – [email protected] and I will read and research if necessary and discuss your questions, problems, or stories.
Meeting you, talking to you, hearing your stories first hand is the best part of the broadcast for me. But I enjoy the show very much either way.
I like to talk and am prepared to talk, but the show really works when human beings call, and we can talk about their questions and issues live. Give it a try.
We are a safe destination, no nastiness of any kind permitted.
My therapy dog Zinnia lies at my feet and snores during the broadcast to support calm and courtesy.
The station also released a permanent replay schedule for “Katz And Dogs,” as many of you have requested. You can also access the replay by going to WBTNAM.org and clicking on the LIVE button at the top of the page.
The show will replay every Saturday (including this coming one) at 9.am.
It will also replay every Monday at noon.
The Wednesday 2 p.m. slot will be live for one hour every Wednesday.
I mentioned on the air that I wouldn’t be accepting any salary for the show (and I wasn’t offered any) and ask that if it turns out to be valuable or help to you that you consider donating any size contribution, big or small, on the donate button at the top of the website.
That’s Paypal.
This will support Community Radio and our efforts to support the cost of the show and the dog rescue we are starting to do every week. So far, we’ve gotten two needy dogs placed in perfect homes.
Community Radio is important; it’s the last vestige of media for ordinary people. The people running the show are not media moguls but hard-working and caring human beings who love their community and want to preserve this small slice of real freedom.
Community Radio is the last place in media where ordinary people get to find their voice and talk about what really matters to them.
WBTM is bouncing back from a rough few years and could use every penny it gets. The station is going FM shortly, but we are also counting on streaming to reach a national audience using new technology.
Using the LIVE button, you don’t need anything but a computer or Iphone to hear the broadcast.
I like the radio apps because I can access any radio station in the world easily.
So take some time at 2 p.m. this coming Wednesday, April 7, EDT, to listen to the show, and please call if you can, 802 442-1010. Or e-mail me anytime with your questions at [email protected].
And thanks for caring.
