Monty at Performance Auto called me just before we left for Vermont Thursday afternoon and said my car was ready.
It needs more than $10,000 in repairs after I swerved to avoid a car that crossed into my lane and send me skitting onto an icy hill and ended up hanging over a ravine.
I hadn’t seen Morty since we hit a deer a few years ago, he had to rebuild the front of my other car. That was the same day he got Molly, who is glued to him, she is a sweet and great dog.
He does great work.
It took a few strong men to get me out and two giant tow trucks to get the car out and it had damage all over it. It looks great, they did a good job and I’m very happy to get it back.
The car took more than five weeks to repair, it needed so many different parts. I love this car, it means a lot to me to have it back.
I was not fond of any of the rental cars I got to drive. Happy to close the book on that chapter, I still get spooked when I’m too close to a ravine.
As I remind myself constantly, it could have been a lot worse.
I’m happy I got to drive it to Vermont.
