Robin looks strong this morning, his mom lay down to rest, and he climbed up on her back looking for milk. She is a patient mom; he’s an obnoxious and playful lamb.
The vet is coming this afternoon to give him tetanus and other shot and put a plastic ring on his tail to cut off the blood and painlessly remove it.
We’ll also figure out when to neuter him. Maria wants to keep him; his wool is already beautiful; Romney wool is best for yarn.
We gave Laurie some grain, fresh water and cleaned up the stall. Tomorrow will be warmer, blessedly.
Robin is beautiful . I assume he is named for your granddaughter but I should not assume anything. Just wait till she sees him though. Thank you for saving him.
Mazel tov! Welcome to the world, little lamb!
May I ask why the tail is removed? (Sorry, not a sheep person, so do not know why they do it.)
for health and sanitary reasons..it gets awful dirty down there..
