During the pandemic, Maria is belly dancing on Zoom in her studio on Wednesday nights.
She gets dressed in some of her belly dancing clothes and heads out to the old schoolhouse where she works. The dogs seem to love her costumes.
The commitment of the women in her class is impressive, belly dancing is about identity for them, not just dancing.

I love her “costumes”, too. Maria is a classy dresser! I could use some tips. All winter long I have worn my winter “uniform”: Turtle-neck shirt, grey sweater, silk undies and ski pants. I wear the same thing every day. I love seeing Maria in photos because she is always so colorful, it cheers me on! It’s gotta be a reflection of her soul.
