Be careful what you wish for.
I got a battery-powered snow blower so that I could help Maria shovel and clear the snow when it stormed, as it has been doing every other day for a couple of weeks now.
It worked well; I got the snowblower out this afternoon – we got between 6 and 8 inches of snow – and did such a good job clearing paths to the pasture and the car (mine is in the auto body shop for a month at least) that she decided to leave the clearing to me.
Then she went into the house to get her snowshoes on and took off into her beloved Orphaned Woods with Zinnia and Fate. They had a lovely walk in the woods.
The dogs love to roam the woods with her.
I was actually glad to share the load so well, although I pined for some hot chocolate. I blew the snow around for about an hour and then came into the house to work.
We didn’t leave the house all day; it’s still snowing. I’m making one of my storm pizzas – lump crabmeat and broccoli.
I think the battery-powered blower was the best purchase of 2020 (it might have come in 2021.)
Making a path in fresh snow, giving the Tin Man some winter decoration.
