We went to the Vermont Knitting Mill this morning to pick up the yarn and roving from our last shearing in October. Maria tried some new colors this time, but because two sheep were young, their wool was short.
So she has a lot of roving – I expect a good roving sale coming up. The yarn will go on sale tomorrow, Monday, on Maria’s Etsy Shop, the yarn is $27 a skein plus shipping.
She hasn’t set a price yet on the roving.
If you want to get a jump on things, you can e-mail Maria about buying a skein or reserving one: [email protected]. You can also follow the progress of things on her blog.
This is summer and fall wool, sheared after weeks of grazing on fresh grass.
We love having sheep and also selling Bedlam Farm yarn. It is one of the best reasons to have a farm. This is a lovely and ancient ritual. We appreciate it.
Note a new feature on bedlamfarm.com: a cancel-link next to the subscribe link on the bottom of every single post. Now, canceling is as easy as subscribing, an honorable and important thing to do. People should never have to wonder about how to cancel their subscriptions. That seems shady to me. It should be as simple to cancel as subscribe. I think I’m one of the very few blogs on the Internet to do this. I’m not trying to prod people into canceling, but I don’t want anybody to have to go through what I go through when I want to cancel a subscription online. I appreciate your support.
Love the lilac
