The latest forecast suggests we are due for about 18 inches of snow. Given what the rest of the country has been through – fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes – we are fortunate.
We are ready. Food in the fridge, shovels on the porch (sand buckets also) everything blowable buttoned-down, plenty of good, fresh hay.
It would be better if the power didn’t go out, but if it does, we will be prepared. I can do as my shoveling as feels good, say the doctors, the bigger challenge for me will be the high winds and bitter cold.
Still, we live in upstate New York, and if you can’t handle a snowstorm, it’s not the right place to be.
I’m going to rush out this afternoon, get to the gym, then run to get a haircut and back home just ahead of the storm, which sounds like a whopper.
More later. Hopefully, there are some good photos to be had.
