As a photographer, I follow Joseph Campbell’s instruction to artists and creatives – my job is to notice the color and light and beauty in the world and try to help people make some sense of it.
A bathroom is not normally the place to do that, but if you are married to someone like Maria, there is art and beauty everywhere. The whole farmhouse is an art gallery and our Frieda Kahlo bathroom is no exception.
I got out of the shower and saw the sunlight touching the bottom of the bathroom curtains, sitting gracefully above the stones Maria collects and distributes through our house.
I thought once more that beauty is everywhere if you look for it and are open to it. Good morning to you all, I feel hope and lightness creeping into our lives as the holiday approaches.
