Happy Thanksgiving to you. We have all been on a great journey together, and it continues. I’m nothing but grateful for you.
Yesterday, Vermont banned groups of more than two people from dancing or exercising together as the virus rises. So the belly dancers had an emergency meeting on Zoom.
They decided to keep going, of course. They are unstoppable.
Maria’s Belly Dancing class danced together on Zoom, the coronavirus’s rapidly growing stepchild. Maria loved it.
It was not the same as dancing together, she said, but it was very good and worthwhile.
Nothing will stop these women, certainly not a mere pandemic.
I went outside to test my new night lens on my Iphone. Wow.
Maria said she’d love a photo of her dancing via Zoom, and it was a joy to see her laughing and smiling as she danced. The camera is everything they said it is.
The virus need not stop us; it just challenges us to be creative and accepting.
I feel especially hopeful this Thanksgiving. I can almost feel the hateful energy of this year fading into the background, not quite gone but diminished.
I hope he finds peace and compassion in his next chapter.
I hope the rest of us do also. I have great faith that tomorrow can be better than today. And today is better than yesterday. That is what faith is for me.
I am filled with gratitude for all the good we have done and the good hearts that swirl around me and this blog.
I bow to the power of love and the great lessons of the farm. We will spend today with one another and the animals. I am very excited about the Thanksgiving takeout dinner we got yesterday from Jean’s Place.
It looks absolutely wonderful; I’ll take a photo later. Be safe and warm, and take some deep breaths. Like the belly dancers, life goes on and on.
This photo of Maria is the perfect image of FAITH and HOPE…and that camera is pretty cosmic, too (not to mention the photographer!) Happy Thanksgiving to Bedlam Farm

Great shot Jon! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Maria, thank you both for sharing all that you do.
Jon, I hope your Thanksgiving was as beautiful as this photo of Maria doing her belly dancing.
You and Maria have brought joy, love and laughter into the lives of so many people with your generosity and knowledge.
Allowing us into your home, your life and your peaceable kingdom through your blog, photos, and words of wisdom has given your readers expanded knowledge, patience and calm. The goodness you share with the residents of the Mansion and the students at Bishop Magnin are lessons of life. You have opened the door to sharing though all you share, see and touch. You have welcomed all of the refuges you have met and through that you have opened the eyes and hearts of your readers. You are a good man; a man of talent, thought and a fearless drive to do the best for all of those who are in need. You are a true teacher and for that I thank you!
Thank you Jane, I will try to be worthy of that…very kind.
