Meet The Sparkle Rainbow Unicorn Pegasus

by Jon Katz

Robin, like her mother, is her own person with a rich and fiercely individualistic sense of identity.

I sent her two Dracula costumes for Halloween, and she rejected both of them, choosing instead to be a “Sparkle Rainbow Pegasus.” No one seems to know just what that is, but Robin had a clear picture in her head.

I love her for that, I’m impressed with any four year old with a mind as much her own as that. God help her parents in a few years, or maybe now.

Robin’s teachers keep saying she has a mind of her own. I bet.

The tenants in Emma’s apartment building managed to patch together some trick-or-treating in the age of Covid-19. Robin had fun.

  1. I always like seeing what she’s up to…that age is magical as 4 walks in tune with the universe…( is she 4?)…I thought naming her skeleton was really funny, and cool, and jumping in the puddles was a beautiful video…it’s great to see them so keep them coming! I forgot that when my kids were little, it was like they were showing me a piece of something long forgotten, from another time, another world. Eventually it goes away, but when it’s present, it’s enchanting.
