Forty Degrees

Minnie and Flo are both feral cats, very territorial and solitary.

The first few years they were living here together, they were very rarely seen together. Over time and especially in the winter, they are now inseparable.

This morning was chilly, and when we came out, they were both huddled together on a wicker chair. Animals adapt, and practice radical acceptance.

  1. I love this, “animals practice radical acceptance.” They do their own thing, mostly, and when it’s needed, they can adapt and accept, and even help each other. I think many people are like this, too. Your writings help me remember this!
