I don’t know Jay Jaffe – my son-in-law – as well as I, hope to one day. He is very kind to me when I visit, and easy to be around.
I do know he is a wonderful father and partner to Emma.
She is happy, safe, and very comfortable with him, and that is all any father can ask for. They both share a great love for baseball, which is also their work.
Emma and Jay are both people who love their work, and that is precious and rare.
They share a world of interests and he makes sure to do his part in the running of the household and the raising of Robin. They both work hard, and at home, and in the midst of Brooklyn, hard hit by the pandemic.
Yesterday, Emma sent another in her wonderful series about love, childhood, and connection. They live near the East River and often walk to the waterfront.
I was touched by this photo of Jay and Robin throwing rocks into the water, something every good father teaches his kids.
Another photo that says something new everything you look at it, and Emma has a great gift for composition.
Emma is on a roll with her iconic photography. I hope she will consider publishing her photos as a study in growing up.
Robin is a natural subject, she is interesting, bright and she does not mind being photographed. Her ego is flourishing.
Lovely! You seem to appreciate being a grandpa! Thanks for sharing.
What tall building is that?
