My life at Bedlam Farm is full of iconic images, which are portraits or statutes executed according to convention or tradition. I see this sight every day – Maria and I walking the sheep out to pasture.
But I always want to record it, it is one of the most powerful images of our lives together, beautiful and timeless. People and sheep have been going out to pasture together for much of human history.
Yet is always seems fresh and comforting and beautiful to me. We are meant to live in nature, we are met to live with animals in our lives. There is no better way to begin the day or ending, no better way to find calm and peacefulness in a turbulent world.
Thanks for sharing my life with me it is a precious and meaningful gift.
Really enjoy your writing. Read many of your books years ago. Great to enjoy your writing again.

lovely photo, one of my favorites that you have posted Jon. If nothing else this pandemic has given us the opportunity to stop and smell the roses! And it’s a wonderful reflection.
