The plan was for me to stay home and rest today, but that didn’t work out. We drove to Jean’s Place and ordered our weekly Egg N’ Cheese Saturday sandwiches and took them to the Bennington Battlefield park to picnic.
Then we drove to the Bennington Farmer’s Market to buy some vegetables and say hi to our friend Emily – Maria’s partner in art crime – at her farm market weekend stand, where she sells her very popular baked goods and her delightful and surprising collage note cards.
(OK, we can get vegetables anywhere. We love to see Emily.)
I loved this one and bought it. Emily was excited to show Maria the new collage “zine” she is preparing to put in her new Collage Kit, which she will send to the growing list of mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and teachers who are signing up for her virtual college lessons.
Maria and Emily are connected almost psychically when it comes to art. It is fun to see them together. Each always has something they are waiting to show the other.
Maria and I are both impressed by Emily, by her blog, creativity, and enthusiasm. There’s a growing list of people signing up for her $60 lessons; it’s a joy to see somebody so talented connect with so many people.
I love her stuff. I told Maria Emily is her sister from another mother.
You can see her blog, art, and baked stuff here.
