“So often in life, things that you regard as an impediment turn out to be great, good fortune.”
“Real change, enduring change, happens one step at a time. No whining…”
“For both men and women the first step in getting power is to become visible to others, and then to put on an impressive show. . . . As women achieve power, the barriers will fall. As society sees what women can do, as women see what women can do, there will be more women out there doing things, and we’ll all be better off for it.”
– Ruth Bader Ginsburg
God bless her. My true hero. ?
Thank you, Jon. She will remain an inspiration to me and scores of others always.
We were so fortunate to have her over the decades. I stand in admiration of her brilliant mind and legacy of good work. Job well done, RIP RBG
We have truly lost an icon. Even my granddaughters, age 7 and 10, knew who she was and were made aware of all she accomplished. My deepest sympathies to her family. And I try not to despair for our country.
PERFECT TRIBUTE JON!
May we continue to honor her life’s work by continuing her legacy in her stead.
We will miss you here on Earth, RBG.
She hung in there for as long as she could. She was a remarkable woman.
According to Jewish tradition, one who dies on the High Holiday as she did on Rosh Hashanah,
is considered a “Tzadik,” a title given in Judaism to people considered righteous. I noticed the
synchronicity right away and then went to look it up.
You chose perfect quotes.
To RBG, Rest In Power.

“I ask no favor for my sex. All I ask of our brethren is that they take their feet off out necks.” – Sarah Grimke. – A nineteenth-century abolitionist and women’s rights activist. (RBG used this quote as a lawyer arguing for women’s rights before the Supreme Court.)
“The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people..” – Judge Louis Brandeis (RBG often used this famous quote.
Upon hearing of Ginsburg’s death, former U.S. Attorney and law professor Joyce Vance tweeted, “We should honor the life of RBG, American hero, by refusing to give in, refusing to back down, fighting for the civil rights of all people & demand our leaders honor the rule of law. This is our fight now.”
