We made our weekly shopping trip to the Bennington Farmer’s Market Saturday and topped to check on our friend, the artist, and baker Emily Gold.
She said I was welcome as long as I didn’t insult her danish.
She had some of her new bird notecards for sale, and I smiled as I always do when I see her work. I think Emily’s spirit, like Maria’s, is an antidote to the tense and angry times we live in.
She now has her virtual collage classes lined up two weeks in a row, and many of these new students are blog readers and tell me how much they love Emily and the way she teaches college.
Teachers, grandmothers, mothers, and artists are signing up. Emily’s fruit tarts are pretty wild also, we brought some to our friend’s house as our contribution to dinner. They were a big hit.
There is just something touching and uplifting about her work. You can see it and buy it here. Maria has also begun making some collage, people seem to love those as well.
I am nourished just by seeing these two friends together, supporting one another’s creativity. And I am as happy to see my wonderful blog bring people together in this very creative way.
You can see her blog here.
Emily is a baker, a mother, and an artist. Classes matter. She is charing $60 per class.
